MADRID, September 18 / WAM / Real Madrid continued its strong start in the journey to defend its Spanish Football League title, and the team achieved its sixth consecutive victory by defeating its neighbor Atletico Madrid 2-1 in the derby of the Spanish capital in the sixth round of the competition.
Real Madrid raised its score to 18 points in the lead, two points ahead of Barcelona, and Atlético’s balance froze at 10 points following suffering the second defeat in the competition this season.
