MEXICO CITY, Sept 6 (WAM) – Tropical Storm Kay turned into a hurricane off Mexico’s Pacific coast yesterday, a day following killing three people in the southwestern state of Guerrero, Mexican meteorological authorities said.

The National Hurricane Center in Miami reported that Kay has turned into a hurricane, and it is expected that the outer bands of rain will continue to affect southwestern Mexico the next day, pointing out that strong winds and rain will move to the Baja California Peninsula in Mexico early tomorrow, Wednesday. .

Storm Cay over the weekend destroyed homes, felled trees and flooded rivers in Guerrero and the Pacific coast city of Acapulco.
