BAGHDAD, October 11 / WAM / The Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Muhammad al-Halbousi, has set today a date for the session to elect a new president for his country.
The Media Department of the House of Representatives stated in a statement that “Al-Halbousi has set a session next Thursday to elect the President of the Republic.”
It is expected that the Kurdistan Democratic Party and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan will present their candidate to vote in next Thursday’s session.
