ABU DHABI, 11th February, 2020 (WAM) — His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him,” received Lieutenant General Asim Munir, Commander of the Army in the friendly Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
At the beginning of the meeting, which took place in the Al Mushrif Palace, the Pakistani Army Commander offered his condolences to His Highness the President of the State on the death of Sheikha Maryam bint Abdullah bin Sulayem Al Falasi.
During the meeting, His Highness the President of the State and Lieutenant General Asim Munir discussed bilateral relations, the level of cooperation and joint work between the UAE and Pakistan in defense affairs and issues, and ways to support and develop them to serve their common interests.
The meeting was attended by a number of officials.
