RIYADH, Jan. 31/WAM/ His Excellency Dr. Nayef Falah Mubarak Al-Hajraf, Secretary-General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, praised the high efficiency and constant vigilance of the UAE air defense forces, which were able to intercept and destroy a ballistic missile launched by the Houthi terrorist group towards the United Arab Emirates, which did not result in losses. Where the remnants of the ballistic missile fell outside the populated areas.
The Secretary-General condemned in the strongest terms the Houthi terrorist militia’s continued systematic and deliberate launching of missiles towards the GCC states, targeting safe civilians and civilian facilities. He stressed that the continuation of these terrorist attacks by the Houthi militias reflects their blatant defiance of the international community and their disregard for all international laws and norms. The international community should assume its responsibilities and take a decisive stance towards the Houthi militias to stop these terrorist acts that target vital and civilian facilities.
He affirmed the solidarity and support of the Gulf Cooperation Council with the United Arab Emirates in all the measures it takes to defend its territories and preserve its security and the safety of its citizens and residents.
