Selected at the next New York Film Festival to be held from September 29 to October 15, the series The Curse unveiled a first image in mid-August!
Thought by Benny Safdie and Nathan Fielder, the series promises to be a satirical comedy featuring a couple played by Emma Stone (absent from the small screen since the series Maniac directed by Cary Fukunaga) and Nathan Fielder. Together, he and she host a decoration reality show where it is a question of transforming houses in New Mexico into ecological habitats. As they try to have a child, the couple are struck by a strange curse….
Produced by the production company A24 – which had accompanied the last project of the Safdie brothers Uncut Gems –, The Curse will be broadcast in full in 2023 on the American channel Showtime. The series does not yet have a broadcast date in France.
