‘Employer must receive returning domestic workers directly at the airport’; Saudi with new law

Riyadh: Saudi Arabia has come up with a new law that requires the employer to directly receive domestic workers returning from vacation at the airport. Musned Platform under the Ministry of Human Resource and Social Development has informed that seven airports in the country have been equipped for this purpose. The Musned platform stated that it is the responsibility of the recruiting offices to receive the domestic workers who come to Saudi Arabia for the first time and transfer them to the employer.

This rule applies to all domestic workers including domestic servants. Musned Platform added that employers are responsible for accepting them. Reception facilities have been established at King Khalid Airport in Riyadh, King Fahd Airport in Dammam, Amir Naif Airport in Qasim, Amir Muhammad Airport in Madinah, Hail, Al-Ahsa and Abaha International Airports.
