Martin Braithwaite, striker for Denmark, spoke a few days before the start of the Qatar 2022 World Cup and assured that the goal of the Danish team is to win the World Cup.
“Our objetive? Win the World Cup. There is no other possible goal. We know we’re not favourites, but it doesn’t matter. In Denmark we have a particular mentality, we are very humble, sometimes too much. Danes don’t dream big, they just recognize hard work,” she pointed out forcefully.
Likewise, the player recalled the last European Championship and said that the fans did not take his team seriously during that tournament.
“Since the Eurocup that has changed a bit. We were there to win and I really thought we might do it. People didn’t take us seriously but that has changed and both the Danes and the players believe that we can do great things,” he added.
