Düsseldorf – The German energy supplier Uniper is considering transferring its future payments for Russian gas to a bank in Russia. “We believe that a payment conversion that is compliant with sanctions law is possible. It is intended that we will make our payment in euros to an account in Russia,” said Germany’s largest importer of Russian gas the newspaper “Rheinische Post”. Uniper is currently also paying in euros, but to an account in Europe.
