The fight against fires in Castilla y León continues and the situation has worsened this Friday afternoon, August 15, in which the authorities already foresee a day complicated by high temperatures. If it has dawned with nine high level fires, the potential gravity index (IGR) 2 in the provinces of León, Salamanca and Zamora, ends with 14 fires of this level, including reproductions and adding two worrying fires in the province of Ávila

Salamanca enters extreme situation

The province of Salamanca has entered into extreme situation this Saturday afternoon with five large fires at the same time, three level 2 and two level 1, in San Cristóbal de los Mochuelos, El Payo, La Sagrada, La Alberca and Corral de Garciñigo.

A second level 2 fire in the potential gravity index (IGR-2) has been declared in the province of Ávila, after the one close to the capital of Abulense and has forced to evict a hundred people in the area of El Herredón, affecting the municipality of Mijares, in the municipality of Mijares, in the Abulense region of the Tiétar Valley.

Wounded from the UME
