Eschlikon TG: Girl (15) is hit by a car and seriously injured – the police are looking for a first responder

On Thursday morning, around 7.20 a.m., according to current knowledge, a 26-year-old driver was driving on Bahnhofstrasse in the direction of Sirnach. For reasons that are still unknown, there was a collision with a pedestrian near the station. The 15-year-old wanted to cross Bahnhofstrasse in the area of ​​the zebra crossing.

The pedestrian was seriously injured and had to be taken to hospital by the Rega rescue service following first aid. The forensic service of the Thurgau cantonal police came to secure evidence on site. The Bahnhofstrasse was temporarily closed off by the Eschlikon fire brigade and traffic was diverted.

Anyone who can provide information regarding the course of the accident is asked to contact the Rickenbach cantonal police station on 058 345 23 70. This applies in particular to a first aider who might not be interviewed on site.
