Clerical students from Ethiopia visit Oommenchandy’s grave. The family members also participated in the prayer at the grave led by the Ethiopian team.

Two weeks following the death of Oommen Chandy, a group of clerical students from Ethiopia is sharing the wonder of the rush of people who come to see and pray at the grave. 15 people who are students of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church prayed at Oommen Chandy’s grave. The Amharic prayer for the dead lasted for 10 minutes.

They also visited the tomb in Puthupally as part of their study-related visit to all over Kerala. Malankara Orthodox Church Ecumenical Relations provided an opportunity for the students who expressed their desire to visit Oommenchandy’s grave and pray.
