Euronews officially launches its Georgian subsidiary on Wednesday. Since September 1, the Tbilisi-based news channel has been offering viewers 24-hour programs on local, regional and international news in Georgian. The team is made up of 80 news professionals.
A platform entirely devoted to social networks, #TheCube has also been integrated into the editorial staff, to allow journalists to analyze the information disseminated on the net. It will also make it possible to carry out fact checks, commonly called “fact checking”.
Like its parent company, Euronews Georgia aims to provide viewers with the means to form their own opinion, by offering a diversity of points of view, in an impartial manner.
After the creation of Euronews Albania and Euronews Georgia, the Euronews Serbia subsidiary will be launched before the end of 2020.
