A group of hikers was attacked on Sunday followingnoon by European hornets in Lier, Flanders. Six people were hospitalized, including a walker in more critical condition who required resuscitation, reports The last news.
The attack took place on a hiking trail in Lier as a group of 38 walkers were on a guided walking tour of the neighborhood organized by a walking club. Rescuers arrived quickly on the spot and transferred six people to the nearest hospital, including a walker in intensive care following cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
