Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – English club Manchester United defeated its Spanish counterpart, Barcelona, with two goals to one, in a confrontation that was held on the grounds of the “Old Trafford” stadium, on Thursday evening, in the second leg of the qualifying round for the final price in the European League for the 2023 season/ 2022.
The result of the first-leg match between the two teams ended in a positive tie with two goals for the same, at the “Spotify Camp Nou” stadium.
The goals of the “Red Devils” were scored by: Fred and Anthony, while Robert Lewandowski scored the only goal of the “Catalan team”.
And the Spanish club advanced the result first, before the English club returned to the confrontation, scoring two goals in a row, to reach the next round in the (Europa League), and knocking out its competitor outside the competition.
This is the second victory for Manchester United at the expense of Barcelona, in the last confrontations that brought the two teams together in various competitions.
