On February 14, the European Parliament voted on draft regulation ending the sale of new combustion engine vehicles in 2035. This text embodies the European desire to take concrete action to combat global warming.

But this decision does not only make people happy, between car enthusiasts and vehicle producers or sellers, of course. Social networks did not fail to criticize the European Parliament for adopting a useless measure, quite simply because Europe is too small.

At the end of February 2023, the following tweet was widely shared. It shows in blue the countries in which gasoline cars will be banned in 2035. In the text, two “death of laughter” emojis suggest that the European decision is ridiculous, since, as we see, the territories where the ban will exist are extremely limited.
