This marks the second time Murr has received the honor, solidifying his position as a top defenseman in the conference. The award recognizes his outstanding performance throughout the 2025-26 season and his crucial role in the Mavericks’ success.
Murr led all CCHA defensemen in scoring with 20 points during conference play, notching six goals and 14 assists. His consistent offensive contributions, combined with his defensive prowess, were instrumental in Minnesota State’s strong showing. He also posted a conference-best +17 rating, demonstrating his ability to positively impact the game while on the ice.
Beyond his point totals, Murr showcased a well-rounded skillset. He registered 71 shots on goal, blocked 28 shots defensively, and averaged 22:57 minutes of ice time per game.
