DAmerican actress Evan Rachel Wood follows up on the allegations against Marilyn Manson. After initial allegations of sexual, physical and psychological abuse a year ago, Wood now reported in the film documentary “Phoenix Rising” that the musician had been raped.
Manson, real name Brian Warner, penetrated her against her will on camera while filming the music video “Heart-Shaped Glasses” in 2007. “I saw that the film crew was also embarrassed and didn’t know how to deal with it. But that was just the beginning of the violence, which only got worse as our relationship progressed,” recalled Wood, then 19, in documentary filmmaker Amy Berg’s production, now premiering at the Sundance Film Festival.
In the years that followed, Manson allegedly repeatedly forced her to have sex. He also allegedly got Wood to carve the letter M on the skin next to her vagina. The Westworld actress dated the Don’t Chase The Dead singer from 2006 to 2010. Last year, other women, including “Game of Thrones” actress Esmé Bianco, made allegations of abuse against the 53-year-old public. The Los Angeles County Sheriff was investigating at the time. In September 2021, a California court dismissed a lawsuit because allegations of alleged crimes from 2011 were statute-barred.
