Even after eleven rounds of voting, still no president for the US House of Representatives: next vote postponed

An eleventh round of voting on Thursday also failed to provide a decisive answer for a new speaker of the US House of Representatives. After three days, Republican Kevin McCarthy received 200 votes in the fifth ballot of the day on Thursday – the eleventh round of voting in total. That is eighteen too few to be elected as the new chairman, something that is normally a formality. That is why voting has been postponed to Friday.
