The developers of Everspace 2 have announced the approximate release date for the first major free update called Armed and Dangerous – it will be released in October. The update will include new items and attributes, catalysts, as well as a set of new wings for the ship, randomizers for colors and modules for ships. Armed and Dangerous will also add various quality of life improvements to Everspace 2 – fast save/fast load, auto-save improvements, UI improvements, etc.
