Eviction of Illegal Miners in La Paragua Forest Reserve by Military Troops in Bolívar

Military troops evicted more than ten thousand citizens in the area of ​​the La Paragua Forest Reserve, in the state of Bolívar.

The Bolivarian National Armed Forces (Fanb) certified the inoperability of the La Bulla Loca mine, in the state of Bolívar.

The illegal site was closed and evacuated by military personnel, according to what was reported by General Domingo Hernández Lárez, strategic operational commander of the Fanb.

More than ten thousand illegal miners were evicted from said area located in the La Paragua Forest Reserve.

On Tuesday, February 20 of this year, a collapse occurred in the illegal mine, leaving 16 dead and the same number injured.

From there, an eviction process began not only in that mine, but in others in the area, which is a protected ecosystem.
