The Head of State received the majority leaders this Wednesday on the subject of public finances. The latest forecasts from the executive expect a deficit to have drifted to 5.6% of GDP at the end of 2023 instead of the expected 4.9%. Such a level would make the objective of a deficit of 4.4% of GDP in 2024 almost obsolete.
