Exit long hair, Princess Elisabeth opts for a shorter haircut (photos)

Princess Elizabeth says goodbye to her long mermaid hair! This Friday, September 30, 2022, she appeared with a shorter haircut during an official ceremony. Indeed, it was on this date that the Belgian royal family went to the Royal Military School in Brussels to see Prince Gabriel receive his blue beret from the hands of his father King Philippe.

Traditionally, the sovereign’s mission is to give this beret to the cadets of the platoon of which Prince Gabriel is an integral part. Highly symbolic, the presentation of the blue beret testifies to the success of the students in the six-week initiation phase at the military camp inElsenbornlocated in the east of the country.

A moving ceremony for the royal family

The Crown Princess of Belgium and her mother, Queen Mathilde, were obviously there to attend this great moment in the life of Prince Gabriel. We also imagine that the princess was crossed by the same sensations as her brother since two years earlier, she also received the beret from the hands of her father.

It was on this occasion that the Duchess of Brabant unveiled her brand new haircut. She chose to swap her long wavy hair for a short brushing. For her new look, the princess opted for a dress-suit-coat with Prince of Wales print and double breasted. On the accessory side, she gave her outfit to a pocket square and burgundy pumps. A very elegant choice.
