Argentina Celebrates Negroni Week with Innovative Cocktail Creations and Charitable Giving

Buenos Aires, Argentina – September 25, 2025 – The iconic Negroni cocktail is taking center stage across Argentina as the annual Negroni Week culminates on September 28th. Over 400 bars nationwide are participating, offering inventive twists on the classic drink while simultaneously supporting crucial charitable causes.

A Classic Reimagined by ArgentinaS Top Mixologists

Born in Florence, Italy, in 1919, the Negroni – traditionally equal parts Gin, Red Bitter, and Vermú Rosso – has become a global staple. This year’s Negroni Week sees Argentinian bartenders pushing the boundaries of this beloved drink with unique, locally-inspired ingredients and techniques.

Ludovico de Biaggi, Manager at Basa Bar, Gran Bar Danzón and Tegui, has created “Casting,” a tequila-based Negroni featuring red bitter infused with Cajú chestnuts and cocoa nib-infused Vermut Rosso, finished with a spicy salt rim. De Biaggi explained,”This cocktail is born from the earth and its fruits; it is my way of paying tribute to the natural.”

Mona Gallosi, owner of Punto Mona Bar, presents the “national Negroni,” constructed with red bitter, apple cider vermouth, gin macerated with raspberries and currants, and garnished with dehydrated green apple. Gallosi emphasizes that her creation is “a reversal of an eternal classic, highlighting the richness of argentina’s local produce. It’s a Negroni that speaks of territory and demonstrates how classics can transform without losing their essence.”

Sebastián García, co-owner and Creative Director of President bar – Buenos Aires and Miami, Nobel Bar and Tradition & Rebellion, is offering “Tradition & Rebellion”, a reimagining with Gin, Hibiscus-infused vermú rosso, strawberry-infused red bitter, quince jelly, saline solution, perfume, and lemon leaf.

García shares, “In this cocktail, I’ve introduced a diffrent rhythm, igniting it with roasted strawberries, like embers preserving the memory of an ancient fire. It’s tradition and rebellion in a single sip, where respect and disobedience coexist.”

A Week of Giving Back

Negroni Week isn’t just about exquisite cocktails. Since 2013, the initiative has raised over US $5 million for various charitable causes worldwide. In 2024, over 12,000 bars in 70+ countries contributed US $600,000 in donations.
