[ EXPOSITIONS VIRTUELLES ] 1931-2011: 80 years of history and archives at the Montreal Botanical Garden

The exhibition is organized into three sections. The history of the Botanical Garden offers a historical route in 24 stops through more than 300 images and archive documents. The Archives and photo albums present various historical collections: 723 black and white photographs of the construction and the beginnings of the Garden, 67 plans and sketches of the gardens, 39 posters of the floral exhibitions, 9 souvenir albums of the floral exhibitions, 37 letters taken from correspondence between Brother Marie-Victorin and Henry Teuscher, 14 extracts of signatures from the visitors’ book, 351 photos of flower shows, 68 press clippings and 3 films. Finally, the Publications section includes the first twenty issues of Memoirs of the Botanical Garden of Montreal. This virtual exhibition has been produced with the financial support of the Government of Canada through Library and Archives Canada.
