Rawalpindi: Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has filed a case once morest a journalist who said he made disrespectful statements regarding Islam, local media Dawn reports. Rawalpindi Police registered the case.

The case is once morest a journalist named Waqar Sathi. The case was registered on the complaint of Chaudhary Nasir Qayyum, a cable operator.

Qayyum’s complaint is that Waqar Sathi tweeted accusing Imran Khan of saying things he did not say. The complaint also says that this is hurting the religious sentiments of Muslims.

The tweet says that he hates Imran Khan for making statements that disrespect Islam. However, the complaint points out that Imran Khan has not made any statements disrespecting Islam as alleged by Waqar and that Waqar Sathi’s allegation hurts religious sentiments.
