Family Agriculture Producers of Guairá receive support from the local Government

IP Agency Paraguay.- Female family farmers from Independencia, Mauricio José Troche, Dr. Bottrell, Paso Yobai and Natalicio Talavera, districts of the IV department of Guairá, receive training from the Government of Guairá and logistical support to travel to fairs in the capital of the country.

The departmental secretary of entrepreneurship and industries, Jorge Legal, said that the producers receive training on the following aspects: Basic concepts of production cost planning, marketing and profitability. “The training covers production, harvesting, product handling, transformation of primary horticultural products to provide added value; marketing for fairs, hygiene and clothing. We want the producers of Guaireñas to be prepared for the most demanding customers,” Jorge Legal told IP Paraguay.

The fairgoers Deisy Duarte, Gabriela Báez de Cristaldo, Mirian Sanabria and Diana Liz Zárate produce Paraguay cheese, artisan breads, peanuts, homemade eggs and other products that were very well received at the last fairs, they indicated.

They are eagerly awaiting another fair like the one organized a few days ago in Asunción by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock. On this occasion, they were supported by the Government of Guairá through the Departmental Secretariat of Entrepreneurship and Industries and the Departmental Secretariat of Women. Governor Cesarito Sosa made available to the producers a bus with all the logistics to bring them to the capital of the country, for the second time under his government. There were 25 entrepreneurial producers from the five districts representing 13 committees.
