The police received a call around 5:00 p.m. for an intervention on Landbouwstraat in Niel. At the scene, the body of a man was found at the bottom of a ladder. “He may have fallen from a great height,” police said. Emergency services arrived on the scene to resuscitate the victim, to no avail.
The man, aged 47, was from Zulte, West Flanders. The police have opened an investigation into the exact circumstances of the death.
