A worker died shortly before midday on Friday in a company in Zollikofen (BE). According to police, the man, who has not yet been formally identified, wanted to repair a trash compactor that had broken down and was trapped by the machine.
The man died on the spot despite the intervention of emergency services. Investigations are underway to clarify the circumstances of the accident.
