Mérida’s Court 3 decreed conviction consisting of 24 years and 8 months in prison for a 49 -year -old man, who admitted his responsibility in sexual violence, forced labor and other crimes to the detriment of his daughter, the Public Ministry reported.
Such event happened last May 9 in the Aguas Calientes sector, Tabay Parish of the Santos Marquina municipality, Mérida. That day, officials assigned to the Protection Council of the Children and Adolescent in that Andean entity received the complaint from the director of a school about a 13 -year -old student who was subject to sexual violence and other crimes by his biological father. Such a report allowed the beginning of an investigation against Avendaño.
Before the authorities, the teenager declared that her father forced her to have sex since she was nine years old. He explained that Avendaño did not allow him privacy and that he was intimidated with a strap.
