FC Bayern has apparently made another change on the home stretch of the transfer period.
Like the Spanish one Sport reported, the German record champions are about to sign Marc Roca. The Spanish midfielder is currently still under contract with Espanyol Barcelona and will be tied to the second division until 2022.
Also SPORT1 learned from Spain that the deal should be dry. The transfer fee should after SPORT1-Information is around nine million euros.
FC Bayern about to deal with Marc Roca
Confirmation of the transfer is pending, but according to the report from Spain, all parties are already in agreement. The 23-year-old Roca is said to be on the way to Munich, where he still has to pass the medical check.
Roca’s new contract will therefore have a term of four years, with an option for another.
Roca was an issue a year ago
FCB was already associated with Roca, who plays in defensive midfield, last summer. At that time there was a transfer fee of 40 million euros. Now it has apparently worked in the second attempt – the transfer must finally go through the stage by October 5th.
At Munich, Roca could inherit his compatriot Thiago Alcantara, who moved to the Premier League after winning the triple for Liverpool FC.

“He’s a technically good distributor who always tries to keep the game fast,” said Spain expert Miguel Gutiérrez last year SPORT1 but also expresses skepticism about Roca: “In my opinion, it lacks a bit of dynamism.”
At Espanyol, the 2019 U21 European champions were among the absolute regulars. In 44 season appearances, he scored two goals and presented three more.
Rock statt Martinez
Roca could take the squad place of compatriot Javi Martínez in Munich.
To SPORT1-Information at Bayern, even before the Cuisance deal failed, the Basque was expected to leave Munich by October 5th. Now that should apply more than ever.
At Munich, coach Hansi Flick cannot offer him a regular place, at most sporadic appearances. The player is dissatisfied with his reservist status.
Athletic Bilbao is still interested in Martínez. FC Bayern will succeed the deserved midfield all-rounder SPORT1-Do not put any obstacles in the way of information, as long as there is a suitable offer for all parties.
