The US Food and Drug Administration will temporarily allow the import of a syphilis drug from French company Laboratoires Delbert, the company announced on Wednesday.

Laboratoires Delbert said it is coordinating with the health agency to bring extencillin to the U.S. to address the syphilis drug shortage. This emerges from a letter on the FDA website. (Reporting by Christy Santhosh in Bengaluru)
