Doha: The timing of the Balloon Parade in Corniche on Tuesday has been changed as part of the Qatar Tourism-led Cherry Eid celebrations. The balloon parade, which was scheduled to start at 4.30 pm, has been postponed to 9.30 pm, organizers said. The change was due to adverse weather conditions caused by dust storms. After the fireworks display at 9pm, a parade of giant balloons will take place at 9.30pm. Balloons line up in March with a variety of models embodying Qatar’s heritage and heritage, including Super Mario cartoon characters.
On Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, the Corniche will be the venue for Qatar’s Eid celebrations with a variety of art shows and fireworks displays. As part of this, traffic on Cornish Street was banned for three days from Tuesday. Meanwhile, there will be shuttle service of Karwa buses to reach the visitors. 70 buses were diverted to Karwa to run the service at 10-minute intervals.
