Manchester St. Mary’s Canaan Catholic Mission will be devoutly celebrating the Feast of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception, Parish Mediatrix, on Saturday, October 8. In connection with the festival, from September 29 to October 7, various tent meetings in the mission and various devotional organizations, religious education students, teachers etc. were led by St. Elizabeth Church at 6:30 p.m. with Holy Communion, Divine Liturgy and Rosary.
On the main feast day, Sunday 8th October, there will be a solemn flag raising at 10am at Northenden St Hilda’s Church. Then at 10.30 a festive Thirunal Rasakurbana and love feast will be held.
Priests serving in various missions in the UK will be on hand for the ten-day celebrations.
Monsignor Fr. Saji Malail Puthanpurail, Assistant Vicar Fr. Ayyub informed on behalf of the Great Britain Diocese Vicar General and Mission Director that everyone is cordially invited to participate in this festival and receive blessings through the intercession of the Holy Mother.
