A US federal court in Chicago has dismissed claims by parents alleging “economic losses” in a nationwide lawsuit over recalled baby formula from US manufacturer Abbot Laboratories. Parents do not have legal standing in connection with Similac and other infant formulas because they might not show which Abbott products or batches were contaminated or that their children had symptoms, Judge Matthew Kennelly said Monday.
