Femicide in Córdoba: who was Milagros Bottone and why the Monserrat school declared mourning

The Police are investigating a femicide that occurred this Tuesday in the Alta Córdoba neighborhood, in the city of Córdoba, in which a man shot dead his 23-year-old daughter, wounded his ex-wife and then took his own life.

The murdered young woman was Milagros Bottone, a law student at the National University of Córdoba (UNC). She had been a former student of National College of Monserrat, graduated in 2018.

She had been working at that institution for a month as a preceptor and she had few finals left to attend to become a lawyer. The news of her crime caused a commotion in the institution. In this context, they decided to suspend the activities of the late shift.

“It is with deep sorrow that we report the death of our preceptor. The community of the Colegio Nacional de Monserrat accompanies her in this painful moment, praying for her eternal rest,” they detailed.

School sources told The voice that Milagros was a “happy” and “low profile” person. She “She was a good co-worker. She had recently started in the activity, ”she specified.
