Libya – Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, affirmed that the armed forces are a national institution with its main goals, principles and tasks. Its first priority is to defend the homeland, strengthen national unity, maintain security and stability in Libya, in addition to preserving the values and civilization of Libyan society.
Field Marshal Haftar, in a speech he delivered during his meeting with a number of military leaders and officers on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr, transmitted by the Army Command Media Office, noted that the military institution has remained standing in support of the just judiciary and defending the dream of building the new state of Libya according to the perspective of professionalism, reconstruction and construction.
He stressed that the Libyan institutions will become in their best form with the continued efforts of the armed forces.
Haftar called on officials to provide job opportunities for the people of the country, so that they in turn build the state and improve the living conditions economically and politically.
