Fifteen European countries, including France, Germany and Italy, are asking Israel on Friday May 13 to reconsider a project to build more than 4,000 homes in the West Bank. “We are deeply concerned by the decision of the Israeli Planning Council to advance plans for the construction of more than 4,000 housing units in the West Bank. We ask the Israeli authorities to reconsider this decision”, write the foreign ministers of these fifteen countries in a joint press release, asking the Israelis “not to carry out the demolitions or the expulsions planned, in particular to Masafer Yatta”.
