Iranian authorities have banned a film festival whose poster included a picture of an actress who does not wear a veil, according to state media.

The poster for its session, which was supposed to be held in September, included a picture of the Iranian actress, Suzanne Taslemi, from the movie “The Death of Zardd,” which was shown in 1982.

On July 19, the famous Iranian actress, Afsaneh Paykan, was given a two-year suspended sentence for appearing without a veil at a cinematic event.
