Final list of Russian participants in the Paris 2024 Olympics

Seven tennis players have been allowed to compete in the Summer Olympics, including Daniil Medvedev and Mira Andreeva, trampoline jumper Angela Bladtseva, swimmer Evgeny Somov, three cyclists, three kayakers and a canoeist, Russia’s Match TV reported.

The Russians and Belarusians were allowed to compete as neutral individual athletes, and some athletes refused to participate in the tournament, despite receiving qualifying cards or invitations from the International Olympic Committee.

The Olympic Games are considered one of the most important international sporting events, as they are held every four years and attract participants from all over the world. The last edition of these games was held in 2020 in the Japanese capital, Tokyo.

The Paris 2024 Olympics are scheduled to start on July 24, two days before the official opening ceremony, and will continue until August 11 of the same year.

The Olympic programme will feature competitions in 32 sports (28 of which are core Olympic sports and 4 additional sports) over 19 days, comprising 329 events and 762 competition sessions.

The sports competitions will begin with team sports such as handball, rugby and football in different cities such as Lille, Saint-Denis and Paris, and the first medals will be awarded the day following the opening ceremony, in sports such as cycling, judo and fencing.
