Financial aid handed over to the family of Manoj who died in Liberia

Monrovia: The Mahatma Cultural Center (MCC), an organization of Liberian Malayalees, has donated Rs 10 lakh to the family of Manoj, who passed away last month in the West African country of Liberia. With the untimely demise of Manoj, the organization took the initiative to help the orphaned family and raised Rs. 10 lakhs from less than 300 members.

Union Minister V Muraleedharan handed over a check to Manoj’s family at his residence. Beena Gopinathan, wife of Gopinathan Pillai, president of the organization, represented the Mahatma Cultural Center Liberia at the event. Representatives of various political and social organizations were present at the function.
