The financial market supervisory authority Finma is currently warning once morest phishing e-mails sent in its name. Emails have the subject line “Rückerstattungsmitteilung” (“Refund Notice”).

The Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (Finma) has issued a warning regarding phishing emails sent in its name. According to Finma, the German emails have the subject line “Rückerstattungsmitteilung” (“Reimbursement notice”) and mention a “reimbursement decision of the Federal Financial Market Supervisory Authority Finma”.

Finma indicates that it never sends such emails and insists that the addresses of email senders should always be checked carefully. Recipients of such messages should preferably ignore suspicious emails and not reply to them. In case of doubt, it is also possible to contact Finma.
