There were 34 agroforestry fires in the last twenty-four hours across the country. Of these, according to the fire department, 23 were dealt with immediately, in their initial stage, while the fire brigade is still dealing with 11.
The local investigative offices, as well as units of the Arson Crimes Directorate (D.A.E.E.) are investigating the causes of the fires.
At the same time, as announced by the fire department, within the framework of the spontaneous procedure, by investigative employees of the P.Y. Nafpaktos, a woman was arrested today for a fire that was caused in dry grass inside a plot of land, in the area of Routsos, of T.K. Managoulis, of the municipality of Dorida, in Fokida, and was imposed an administrative fine of 3,007.81 euros.
