Once once more the fire caused fear in the Faculty of Medicine. Around 5:00 p.m. this Wednesday, a fire broke out in a workshop. Like three weeks ago, following a theft of EPE cables, there were moments of anxiety.
Jorge Molina, dean of the Faculty of Medical Sciences, detailed what happened.
“Around 5 in the followingnoon, the non-teachers informed us of the fire, at first the fire extinguishers were used, at the same time we called the Volunteer Firefighters, who arrived very quickly. Many people always come in and out of there, anything can happen, ”he recounted.
And he added: “It is a work of the Faculty to cover a dome, the work was stopped for years, with leaks. It is his moment, a lot of water had entered and two amphitheatres had been destroyed.
“Apparently with the wood and the waste that is inside the workshop they caused the fire. We had already claimed it from the Rectorate the other time when the EPE cables were stolen three weeks ago. Lots of people come in and out. It is very dangerous, ”he concluded.
