Crans-Montana – The Swiss Joana Hählen set the best time on Thursday in the first of two downhill training sessions for the two World Cup downhill runs of the alpine ski women at the weekend in Crans-Montana. The best Austrian was Nadine Fest in fifth place (+0.92). However, the first ten starting numbers with, among others, Super-G world champion Lara Gut-Behrami (29th place) and the Austrians Cornelia Hütter (42) and Tamara Tippler (32) had grim conditions.
