Today marks the 10th anniversary of the MH17 plane crash. Today, July 17, 2024, the flag at City Hall and the City Shop will be at half-mast in memory of the victims.

The MH17 disaster on 17 July 2014 cost the lives of 298 people. Three of them were residents of our municipality. With the tribute of half-mast flags, the municipality of Tilburg wants to commemorate Sjors, Kristy and Marit and we are thinking of all the relatives.
National commemoration
The national commemoration is on Wednesday at the National Monument MH17 in Vijfhuizen. During the meeting, the names of all 298 victims will be read out. Two minutes of silence will also be held.
The commemoration can be seen live on TV from 1:40 PM on NPO1.
