An American was arrested and accused, in recent days, of having murdered his former partner who had just remarried.
According to what the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office in Florida explained, Sony Josaphat went to the home where he once lived with his ex on Saturday morning. There, he opened fire on his former flame and her new husband, killing them both.
The crime occurred in front of Josaphat’s daughter, who herself called 911 to report the crime as did her father, CBS said, citing reports it obtained from the sheriff’s office.
According to information obtained by the channel, the suspect was going to the house to pick up his daughter to bring her to lunch. However, he would have been seized by an “excess of anger” when he saw the couple together and murdered them with several gunshots.
Reports state that the man then called his pastor to confess to his crime, before heading to the nearest police station to turn himself in to authorities.
He faces two murder charges, police said Monday. He is due back in court on January 8.
