The media office of former deputy Amal Abu Zaid issued a statement saying, “Some news websites and communication sites reported false news regarding preventing former deputy Amal Abu Zaid from entering the United States of America, confiscating his phone with another person, and that following interrogating them, they were deported.”

The statement added, “This news is not true at all, and Professor Amal Abu Zaid did not travel to the United States.”
