Former First Lady Nadine Heredia Granted Travel Authorization for Medical Examination in Colombia

The Seventh National Preparatory Investigation Court declared the request of the former first lady, Nadine Heredia, who requested that she be allowed to travel to Colombia in order to undergo a medical examination.

Nadine Heredia was authorized to leave the country from June 29 to July 3. It was Judge Leodan Cristóbal Ayala, who gave the green light to the petition made.

However, the former first lady must provide her geolocation every day to a number linked to the court. She will also have to submit a written report on her activities in Colombia.

When he returns to Peru, he must appear at a hearing, next Tuesday, July 4, starting at 5:00 pm, in order to summarize his activities in that country.

Heredia maintains an investigation into the South Peruvian Gas Pipeline case, linked to the corruption plot of the Brazilian company Odebrecht.

The former first lady claimed that it was necessary for her to travel to Medellín, Colombia, for reasons related to her health care.

The document was presented on June 15 by the legal defense of the former president’s wife, Ollanta Humala.
