In the Second Civil Chamber of San Salvador, the Anti-Corruption Unit of the Attorney General’s Office has filed a lawsuit for illicit enrichment once morest the former Minister of Tourism, Jose Napoleon Duarte Duran, his wife and three children.
The civil trial is based on 72 irregularities detected during the period in which Duarte Durán held public office between 2009 and 2019, under the governments of Mauricio Funes and Salvador Sanchez Ceren, both fugitives.
